I think it's time to share one of my secrets (of course I have several - ha!).

I like girls.

No, seriously - I have grown fond of new generation plastic dolls.

Some of them are really pretty and others absolutely take my breathe away (literally - because some tend to be "pretty" scary).

Today's topic however, is not exactly about dolls, but more about what makes them so lovable: clothing!

Yep, yep - trendy miniature clothing.

And Aysel from DoLLYSToRY sure knows how to get a good fit!

As a matter of fact, her clothing has got *the* best fit I have ever seen so far on dolls.

This one's more of a down-to-earth & calm type of girl though.

It's Bambi! Yeaaah, Bambi! Who doesn't know Bambi, right?

He's a little plushie made out of felt, completely designed & handsewn by Aysel.

I love how it makes me think of Spring & Easter because of the colour combo (it looks quite joyful!).

Anyhow, it's nice to know that all of these little treasures came to life in a smoke-free and pet-free studio (the dolls are not for sale though, but more plushies are available in her sister shop).

For those who are interested in purchasing a doll; you could always ask the seller for more information on the type that was used & where to get them.

Refreshing designs spotted!

Yep, yep - it's bubbly, it's soft, it's youthful & sweet, it's... "MyMimi"!

Mimi debuted as a freelancing illustrator of children's toys who drew a variety of designs for numerous toy companies & eventually ended up producing her very own line of cutesy home decorations & accessories.

Luckily, we are not talking about some uber costly multinational business like Ikea here.

It's actually a cozy little gift shop that's just perfect for when you are wanting to buy that small everyday present for a friend, a classmate, a colleague or anyone who enjoys the kind of item where cute meets useful.

You are probably pretty curious now, so let's have a look at that eye candy!;

Wahh!, WAHHH!, W A H H H !

If I had the power to put my favourite pet on display forever, without having to resort to taxidermy, it would probably look like the owl pillow!

To me, it looks as if the owl was locked in by some magical powers & ended up in a box - doesn't it look like it?

And those magnets are hysterically cute!

It almost looks like those picnic girls are about to pop out and play with whomever the magnets belong to - wah!

And those little lambs on the surface of the food tray look like they are trying to say something like: "don't eat meh!, just use meh!".

Well I guess they have a good point there ;-).

They have got style too!, since the tray is made of high quality wood that was acquired from sustained Scandivian forest trees!

Isn't that great?

A-dooo-rable! - aren't they?

My favourite piece would beee... the tulip blouse!, (even though I'm not a fan of silk, I do happen to like this).

The collar, sleeves & print make the garment look fresh, modern, sporty & playful.

It has a great shape too!, (considering the L size).

Did you know that massively produced larger size garments tend to look sloppy & shapeless, because manufacturers use the same design for every size, without alteration (which ends up making the larger stuff look like tents...).

So this blouse is quite a gem! - it's in excellent state (if you really dig this style, you might want to have a closer look, because there's only one!).

The skirt on the other hand, was designed & handmade by Maria!

Quite saucy huh?

Those 15 years of sewing experience really show in this piece (did you notice how polished & professional it looks?).

It was purposely made this short, because it's meant to be worn with a pair of leggings (but those who don't mind showing off their legs, could easily leave that out).

What do you feel most comfortable doing?, (I prefer covering up).

Talk about coverage: that vintage dusty pink knit sweater is a total classic!

It's one of those baggy designs that makes it easy to show a bit more skin discretely, while wearing one sleeve down!

Don't you just love that?

I swear - the little shoulder trick can instantly make you feel a tad sexier (no kidding!).

Have you tried that before?, hmm? - maybe it's time to do so if you haven't already!

I'm sure your partner would love it too - rrr!, hehe.

I mean; "Hi!"

Although, ... your reaction would probably be the same if you knew about the kind of artwork I discovered recently.

As a lover of the 70s, I was very pleased to encounter Liz Lorini's luscious & feminine vector illustrations, branded "Miss Kika"!

Her style could be defined as a mix of 70s & 80s Asian inspired romantic yet powerful, bubbly & girly graphics.

Her assortment consists of digital canvas prints, mini prints, skins & a limited collection of printed totes, buttons, stickers & other.

So here's a small selection for you to see:

"Creamsicle Twin" - Mini Print

"Hail Rainbow" - iPhone Skin

"Wow!", right?

As a fan of rainbows, it's a little surprising how the iPhone skin is not my favourite (even though I like it's funky look!).

My personal favourite is the orange popsicle mini print, because not only is it romantic, feminine & groovy, but it's also naughty!

As soon as I saw it, I just had to include it!

And the most refined design of all three, is undoubtedly the purple "Miss Macaron" canvas print (it's delightful frame was handpainted by Liz & is also included!).

All of these are currently available online in limited quantities; so if you see something that really appeals to you, don't wait too long & just get it or you might regret it!

No matter what your budget is, there will always be something that fits you - especially the mini prints are good for anyone who enjoys Miss Kika's creations & doesn't necessarily need something big or pricey.

Her fellow artsy buddies refer to her as "Mysthril" though.

That's the nickname she uses to sign her work.

Didn't I tell you?

I personally am not a fan of sweets or sushi, but the stickers & prints sure make it look yummy!

My favourite design is undoubtedly the "Milkshake Sweetheart", because that one evokes some sort of nostalgic feeling - it reminds me of my childhood (and that's exactly what Mary tries to achieve through her designs).

So I would say; good job Mary ;-) - it works for me!

Cute stationery really is an easy, useful & fun way to brighten the mood of  your office, a classroom or personal space.

According to testimonies, it is said that it helps those who have been around for quite a while, feel younger too!

Which one would fit you most?

As you can see, there's a sporty blue lollipop-like necklace, a pair of romantic flower shaped lucite barettes that look like carved wax, and then there's the crispy white classy earrings!

If I had to pick one I would go for the ocean blue necklace or the flower barettes (despite the colour), because a sporty/romantic style fits me better (based on my natural look).

Even though there's so much to pick from there's a limit as to how many things actually suit us ;-), so if you haven't got a clue, I recommend searching for information on style & colour advice.

"When Friends Drop In" - Print

Stunningly beautiful!, isn't it?

I'm completely charmed by these! (you can almost "see" those kiddos wobbling up and down!, the fruits basket is simplistically cute and the flying creature somehow reminds me of my childhood...).

In my eyes, this is existing proof that simple CAN be good too!

This "simple" style actually has a name: impressionism - a 19th century art style (I used to learn about this in school - thanks for reminding me Lloyd!).

It is typically characterized by visible brush strokes (which I'm a fan of!), simple subjects & the inclusion of movement.

Lloyd likes using plain watercolour, "gouache" (opaque pigmented watercolour paint), ink and pencils for his paintings.

A really good thing about TummyMountain is that you don't necessarily need to spend big bucks to allow yourself to own a piece of work.

All of the above pictured pieces are high quality prints of his original artwork (which don't cost as much as the "real deal", but are good enough to last a lifetime!).

So why not grab yourself one of those lovely creations today? (ohhh fruits basket, come to meee!).

Let's talk vintage today!, (vintage stickers, to be precise).

Being a lover of all kinds of rainbow inspired designs,  I just HAD to bump into this sort of shop sooner or later.

I found out about MissMidie a couple of months ago.

The shop is ran by a delightful lady called Jamie, who enjoys collecting all kinds of vintage stickers.

Her assortment consists of glitzy and matte stickers in different types such as; "scratch & sniff" and "glow-in-the-dark", while others don't have any particular features (besides looking adorable & cheerful of course!).

Pretty much all of them are quite unique and hard to find (which is comprehendible, considering their age).

I have noticed that, even though the companies still exist, they just don't make them like these anymore!

Now, let me show you what there is to see:

Having purchased the butterflies before, I know what they look like for real (and I assure you the picture doesn't do them justice).

I like the unicorn strawberry scented stickers too, because the way they are presented makes them look like some unique vintage party poster for some crazy outdoor party - very cool ;-).

Who are they then?

May & Erica from Kirkus.

They are two Phillipine fun loving sisters who have a thing for handmade friendship bracelets, rubber stamps & graphic art.

In their shop, there's also a selection of pocket mirrors with May's personal circus inspired illustrations printed on them, and Erica's crocheted lollipop coin purses!

Their packaging looks absolutely adorable & very attractive (there's a sample picture in the photo gallery for those who wish to see what it looks like).

The thing that caught my eye, was their handcarved rubber stamps & the whole circus theme that's integrated all over the place.

You just gotta love it!

Wahhh!, can't help but feel happy when looking at these, huh?

Have you ever seen that kind of handcarved rubber stamp before?

It sure does come in handy and the result is absolutely stunning!

Why not get one for yourself or someone you know?

And if you are getting a rubber stamp, you might as well get a mirror too!

They are pretty convenient, even if you're not much of a "mirror-checker" - you could always use it for a project (like how McGuyver used to do the craziest things with just a few tools!).

Even if I wouldn't use it for either of formerly mentioned purposes, I would still get one because it simply looks cute & radiates good karma - don't you agree?, (come ooon!).

If you are a little crafty, it could easily be turned into a pendant too, and voila!

So there certainly is at least one good purpose for it.

And once you got yourself a rubber stamp and a pocket mirror, you might consider purchasing a lollipop coin purse too!

It's quite handy, because you wouldn't have to worry about how to package your gift, it saves you a couple of bucks, you would be doing nature a favour and let's face it; it's cute (^_^).

And since it's a coin purse, the receiver could always store their change or any other small accessory in there.

This time I am going to tell you a little bit about Heidi Michele - a mother of two little ones who runs a handmade jewellery business called "Refreshing Designs".

It's not just any kind of jewellery though!

Heidi is a total fan of fantasy fiction (= basically anything that's supernatural or surreal such as; vampires, werewolves, elves, witches, etc., ...).

So it's only natural for her to express her love through her favourite hobby, which is the confection of wire jewellery.

And talk about surreal, man!

Many people are expecting the sequel of a movie that is well known in the fantasy genre; namely "Twilight".

This movie is also one of Heidi's biggest sources of inspiration at the moment (which explains why some of her creations bear the names of the characters).

But you don't necessarily have to like all of the above to wear her designs.

Well then?, didn't I tell you!

What do you think about those rosebud rings?

I like the metallic touch, because it makes them look "spacey", (like little swirls absorbing you into a world of ... happiness?).

And the "Rockstar" pendant is absolutely funky!

I couldn't keep my eyes off it for some reason (bent wire really is a marvelous thing).

Maybe it's because this indicates how versatile this artform can be?

The last picture clearly reinforces that statement, because it shows a sophisticated and very delicate-looking swirly Celtic inspired cuff with a Swarovski bicone crystal serving as centerpiece.

It's one of those exotic sexy pieces that can be wrapped around your wrist or upper arm! (I'm sure you've seen something similar before!).

The cyberpunk fingerless gloves are probably one of my favourite pieces (I have a thing for gloves).

I prefer (and absolutely adore) fingerless gloves because they manage keeping your hands warm, while allowing for free finger movement!, (my hands tend to feel cold even when I feel warm).

Another good thing about them, is that they can easily help you dress up or down according to the style.

Very good investment for either personal or professional use (wholesale orders are welcome and once you've purchased them, they can be customized to your liking and resold!).

Now, I don't know about you guys & gals, but I rarely get to see a mix of 3 lovely related ladies specializing in this sort of thing.

Judging from my experiences; vintage cartoon & videogame related wares can be pretty expensive, especially when sold in retail.

So why bother paying an arm & leg, if you can just buy straight from the source?

You might want to try and see for yourself!

*epic: massive, huge, incredible, awesome - in this context it was used to describe how wonderful the pacman bag looked

Today it's time to meet Marieke, whoms art studio is based all the way back in the Netherlands (Europe).

I present you to you: NewEnergyArt.

Marieke is a graphic artist who specializes in printable digital art.

This basically means that she uses digital technology such as computer software to create her designs.

One of the coolest things about digital art, is that it can be printed on nearly everything (although Marieke's designs are specifically meant for postcards & canvas).

With galactic sceneries being her biggest source of inspiration, Marieke's style could best be described as a dreamy trip through space.

Depending on her mood, it can look either soft & soothing, or rather vivid & powerful.

As you can see, the first style is way more futuristic, clean and cool whereas the second style is warm, explosive & whimsical.
